President's Message
I am pleased to serve as the President of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS) for the 2013-2014 year and proud to follow so many innovative leaders in the minimally invasive surgery field. I appreciate the support of the ISMICS membership and look forward to a successful year. We were proud to host this year’s annual meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, which was the 16th Anniversary of the Society. The 2013 Annual Meeting had the second highest professional registration in ISMICS history with a total of 572 attendees. The Society now has 803 members representing almost every region of the world and we are continuing to grow. I would like to thank Dr. Alan Menkis for his successful term as president which culminated in an excellent annual meeting.
