Active Category
Active members consist of physicians, surgeons, allied health care providers and medical researchers engaged in or with an interest in minimally invasive and innovative cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

Allied Health Category
Allied Health members consist of those members of the Society who are non-physician members such as perfusionists, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, practice administrators, data managers and other health care professionals who support and work directly with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons.
Requirements: Completed online application, including CV and Active or Allied Health member sponsor

Candidate Category
Candidate members consist of those members of the Society who have had three years of clinical training in a general surgery residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or an equivalent accrediting body. A Candidate Member may continue his or her candidate status for up to two years after completion of his or her training.
